Garbage & Recycling

Garbage and Recycling are collected and managed by the Township of South Frontenac. Properties can set out garbage bags at a pre-approved collection location provided they are tagged with Township of South Frontenac bag tags.

Residents receive an annual allotment of 50 tags / year. Additional bag tags can be purchased for $2 each at various stores in the surrounding area. Please click here for a list of retailers.

South Frontenac is now selling bear and critter-proof waste and recycling stations for residents to use in a shared pickup location. Bear bins keep garbage contained, which actually prevents accidental littering. The only negative reviews of these collection boxes come from the local wildlife who are stymied by the latch system.
